Murphy Associates have provided a series of seminars, training sessions and workshops to Local Authority Planning Officers and Councillors on matters ranging from Planning Law to Urban Design, Conservation/Heritage and Sustainability to community planning/design in relation to Area Action Plans.

We can provide bespoke training sessions in Northern Ireland for planners and councillors to assist in the transition toward the devolved planning service to the District Councils.

Murphy Associates can arrange and set up public consultation exercises, planning/design workshops for Local Authorities, Town/Parish Councils or Community Groups or Applicants on development proposals and to involve the community in the shaping their environment. A structured workshop procedure can ensure positive engagement and direct involvement in the shaping of places and neighbourhoods.
