PLANNING APPEALS

We act for both individual clients and Local Authorities in the preparation of appeal cases, including the preparation of the submission, Statement of Case, Statement of Common Ground (where necessary). Where required and due to our experience and expertise, we often act as an Expert Witness at Hearings and Public Inquiries.

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

We work on a range of planning application for a range of development types for our clients. Developments range from householder applications to larger residential schemes, mixed use developments, to major developments. As well as managing the application process, we are able to provide supporting planning statements, heritage statements and appraisals and Design & Access statements to support cases. Where necessary we are able to co-ordinate input from other professionals and specialists.

PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT / LAWFULNESS

With the constant changes to planning legislation we can evaluate proposals to advise on permitted development to alter properties and/or changes of use. This includes evaluating work or changes of use that have already taken place and lawfulness.

HERITAGE

With in-house heritage expertise, we advise clients on the need for Listed Building Consent including alteration, extension, repair and/or other development opportunities In addition to inspecting and recording the significance of a heritage asset, assess the role of setting, significance/special Interest and the implications of change. .

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Having urban design and planning skills, we are able to see the bigger picture and the long term holistic approach to land assembly and the longer term objectives of Local Planning Authorities as well as developers and private landowners. We work with clients to assist in the development of masterplans, agreeing key principles, concepts and opportunities to harness the potential of sites and the delivery of bespoke development solutions either through the Local Plan process or as a planning application

DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

This is a bespoke service that allows us to offer a range of planning, design and listed building services to Planning Authorities in London, Kent, East and West Sussex, and Hampshire. This ranges from Change Management, Team Leader, to assisting in the assessment and determination of complex planning applications and major developments to schemes that are the subject of Planning Performance Agreements.

PLANNING PERFORMANCE AGREEMENTS (MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS)

We work with Local Planning Authorities and developers who have entered into Planning Performance Agreements to provide bespoke, tailored services in moving cases forward to determination. This includes the assessment of the case, liaison with the LPA and Applicant, internal and external consultees right through to writing committee reports.
