Planning Applications & Appeals
Our Director has nearing 27 years experience as a planner and in representing Local Authorities and Clients at appeal including:
At Murphy Associates we seek to review a case to ascertain if the appeal route is appropriate. We often suggest a review of the scheme/proposal which can often lead to a positive outcome. In some cases we will advise on entering into pre-app discussions with the LPA, preparing the necessary documentation, reports and drawings. If not, we will provide a clear route through the appeals process and prepare the appropriate forms and statements. We are able to prepare and submit applications in relation to a variety of proposals from extensions to residential dwellings (Householder applications) through to changes of use, new build, agricultural-related proposals, major residential, commercial and mixed use schemes and tall buildings. In doing so we have acted successfully for public sector, private sector and individual clients in Appeal Cases. We always consider the nature of the case, the reason/s for refusal and sometimes identify a more appropriate way forward, avoiding the need to appeal. Where an appeal is the only recourse, we provide advice on the right approach - Written Representation, Hearing or Public Inquiry. |
